Software Engineer - UAS Application
You will be leading the development of a Ground Control Software (GCS) for the direct control and management of our fleet of drones by operators. This is a multifaceted role and you are expected to build, manage and develop a team as we progress.
With autonomous deliveries at the very centre of our focus, the software you’d build would be facilitating an incredible user experience. The GCS is the actual product for the end users, more than the drone hardware itself! The complexity of the programme is high, containing dependencies within our team as well as into the aircraft engineering and production divisions, delivery operations and external operational and regulatory stakeholders.
Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science/Electronics or similar discipline.
Fundamental concepts and algorithms with 4+ years of professional working experience with any statically typed programming language (C, C++, C#, Java, or similar)
Strong knowledge in multithreading & OOP concepts
Experience in implementing software code for GUIs, back end systems
Experience with architecture and developing complex, greenfield, mobile/native apps ideally in a lean environment
Experience in the entire product development lifecycle, and able to prioritise and meet deadlines
You preach and put into practice the importance of maintainability, relentless testing and enjoy implementing best practices
