Business Development Manager

In this role, you will help drive the company’s commercial growth strategy and initiatives. Your priority will be to drive the top line of our maritime drone delivery business in Singapore. You will ensure revenue goals are achieved, maintain a sales pipeline and use available platforms to track sales performances.  


You will actively identify, engage, and build relationships with potential customers in the maritime sector in Singapore. You will listen to them, understand their needs and pain points, and develop solutions around our drone technologies to ensure customer success. Shaping, negotiating, closing and executing commercial contracts should be your forte. 


You will play an active role in sharpening the go-to-market strategy for F-drones and contribute to the overall company strategy. This will include, but not limited to, working with our marketing manager to build our brand. You can also innovate new techniques and methods to increase sales and profit margins. 


In addition, you will work closely with the CEO to identify and assess business opportunities outside Singapore. You will help analyse global market opportunities, produce market reports, identify potential key customers and develop business proposals for international targets. As our business also interfaces with aviation and port regulations, you will also need to understand relevant regulations and support the CEO’s engagements with them.  


Where necessary, you will analyse, identify and initiate strategic alliances around the world, which can accelerate the commercialisation of our drone products and services.

Your profile

  • Bachelors or Diploma in Business, Economics, Engineering, Aerospace or Maritime-related fields

  • At least 2 years’ experience in business development, financial analysis and market research in the maritime sector

  • Strong understanding of the port and maritime industry in Singapore, especially the supply-demand dynamics between ship owners, charterers, managers, port agents and launch operators

  • Strong existing relationships with ship owners, charterers, managers and port agents

  • Expertise in developing business proposals, contract negotiations and execution

  • Ability to understand technical specifications of aerial drones

  • Additional experience in drones, logistics or technology sectors will be appreciated

  • Passionate about drones, marine & offshore and sustainability

  • Effective in a fast-paced, demanding and constantly evolving environment

  • Entrepreneurial and resourceful in closing sales

  • Enthusiastic team player with pioneering spirit

  • Willing to travel, if required

  • Excellent communications skills in English, including written and presentation skills

  • Competency in a third language, such as Mandarin and Spanish, is a plus
